Himawari Japanese Language & Culture School is a not-for-profit charity association registered in Queensland and has been serving for the Gold Coast community since April 2019. The school runs every Saturday offering a range of classes from playgroup to academic classes for 4 years and above, to cater for different age groups and in accordance with one's language proficiency levels, allowing students to learn freely towards their goals and at their desired learning pace. The school also offers a dedicated weekly Art & Culture class allowing students to experience a variety of Japanese cultures and traditions. The school advocates 'inclusion' in the community and welcomes anyone and everyone of all ethnicities and backgrounds. Those who are already learning Japanese and those with no experience are all invited to learn at Himawari. The school encourages and supports its community members in shared value of acceptance, respect, love, care and discipline.
