Be Physiology
Story
And we're back for Bridge to Brisbane 2022!
This year our chosen charity is Youngcare - a national not-for-profit, revolutionising the way young people with high care disability live.
Team Be Physiology will come together on 28 August for the 4.5km race and we couldn't be more excited to don those stripes as we walk, run and wheel across that finish line.
Now it's time to set some new goals - who's ready to do this?!
About Be Physiology
Be Physiology means accessibility: we are mobile-first and able to provide exercise physiology in an environment that works best for people living with a disability or chronic condition.
We are one of few mobile exercise physiology services in Queensland with extensive expertise in spinal cord injuries and complex neurological conditions, taking on the challenges that many don't dare to, using exercise physiology to improve a person's function and quality of life.
It's not about making muscles stronger, it's about making life easier through movement and exercise!

Youngcare
Suitable and appropriate supported housing is one of the greatest areas of unmet need for people with disabilities in Australia. Currently, there are thousands of young people being left behind in aged care, hospital rooms, rehabilitation centres – institutionalised accommodation – simply because there is nowhere else for them to go. Youngcare is a not-for-profit organisation creating choice and independence for young people with high care needs by providing fully accessible and age-appropriate living spaces, grants for equipment, home modifications and support through a national phone line. Youngcare is boldly tackling this national issue by acting as the conduit for industry, government and community to work together to bring much-needed change to the disability housing sector. Together we are creating a future where every young person has the freedom and choice to live the young lives we all deserve. Youngcare’s Grants programs bridge the gaps, by funding not only ‘reasonable and necessary’ disability items and services but those that provide further choice, independence and quality of life for young people with high care needs. www.youngcare.com.au
