G'day everyone, friends and family.
This year I am doing my part by participating in Bridge to Brisbane and running for a cause that is close to my heart and who are doing some amazing work - The Fred Hollows Foundation. I've been donating to them for over a year and I believe very strongly in the great work they're doing all over the world.
The goal is to reach $1200 to train an eye doctor in Vietnam, but ultimately I would love to reach $4300 and be able to train a cataract surgeon in Kenya.
Best yet, for every $1 donated, 70c goes directly to the cause.
Eyesight is critical to living a full life and you can see exactly what your donation will be paying for through their scaled systeme. I've been donating for over a year now and I'm pushing to make a bigger difference to more lives.
Fred believed that every eye is an eye, and spread that message and good work all over the world including in our own First Nations communities. We're all in this together and we all have our part to play to actively reduce the unnecessary suffering of our world wherever we can.

The Fred Hollows Foundation
The Fred Hollows Foundation works towards a world where no one is needlessly blind, and where Indigenous Australians enjoy the same health and life expectancy as other Australians.
Our organisation is inspired by Professor Fred Hollows (1929-1993). Fred was an eye doctor, skilled surgeon and a social justice activist who championed the right of all people to high quality affordable eye and to good health.
